Comedian, UFC narrator, and podcaster Joe Rogan criticized Democrat politicians for their attempt to redefine recession to avoid admitting the current state of the U.S. economy.

During an episode of his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ the host spoke with YouTuber Chris Williamson, who mentioned that Wikipedia had edited the definitions of recession.

‘The government is trying to not call it a recession”; “[The Left] is literally changing the definition, which is terrible and it should be pushed back against in a big way.”

Rogan said citizens should be upset with the ruling party, which “f***ing with definitions” to “pretend that [they’re] doing a good job’ with the economy.

“We’ve always used that term to define whether or not the economic policies that are currently in place and whether or not the management and the government has done a good job of making sure that the economy stays in a good place,”  Rogan said. ‘They definitely haven’t done that […] What a bunch of weasels” he added.

Last week, the Bureau of Economic Analysis released second-quarter 2022 growth data pointing to a negative 0.9% decline. During the first quarter, the economy contracted 1.6%, marking the first drop in the nation’s economic growth since the pandemic.

According to the specialized site Economipedia, a recession occurs when “GDP declines for two consecutive quarters.” Still, both Democrats and their allies in big business have been modifying the terms to suit their interests.
