WATCH: Jon Stewart Slams People Who ‘Canceled’ Him Over Lab Leak Theory

Jon Stewart, a devout liberal who previously hosted “The Daily Show,” was chastised by his peers for strongly (and humorously) declaring over two years ago that the COVID virus might have leaked from a facility in Wuhan, China.

Stewart went on a rant over the origins of COVID during a raucous appearance on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert.

While trying to stick to the liberal talking points and narrative, Colbert responded at the time: “Do you imply that there’s a chance that this was manufactured in a lab? If there is proof, I’d want to hear it.”

John Stewart then said: “… “There’s a novel respiratory coronavirus overtaking Wuhan, China, what do we do? Oh, you know who we could ask? The Wuhan novel respiratory coronavirus lab! The disease is the same name as the lab! That’s just a little too weird, don’t you think?”

According to a new analysis from the United States Energy Department, he was correct.

“First of all, I wasn’t waiting on the Department of Energy to weigh in on this,” Stewart stated on his podcast this week. Then he mentioned that he was doing what people do: thinking. He was perplexed as to why the virus originated from a location with a coronavirus laboratory, such as COVID.

“My bigger problem with that was, I thought it was a pretty good bit that expressed kind of how I felt, and the two things that came out of it were, I’m racist against Asian people, and how dare I align myself with the alt-right.” Stewart said.

Stewart slammed his detractors from June 2021:

“The part that I don’t like about it is the absolutes and the dismissive, like, ‘f*** you, I’m done with you,’ ‘I will never forgive you, you have crossed an unforgivable line.’ ‘You’ve expressed an opinion that is antithetical to mine, or not mine,’”

According to a confidential intelligence analysis from the US Energy Department, the COVID-19 virus most likely spread after a laboratory breach, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The study was recently provided to the White House and key members in Congress as part of an update to a 2021 document by the Director of National Intelligence’s office. Sources state that the amended Energy Department assessment is the product of new intelligence and new findings.

That claim came after the FBI issued a declassified intelligence analysis in November 2021, concluding with “moderate confidence” that the virus developed as a result of a “laboratory accident.”

Other personalities that were criticized by the left-wing media and the liberal establishment back in 2020 and 2021 have reacted to the news.
