The United States won an appeal Friday before the Court of Appeal in London against a ruling last January that had denied the extradition of WikiLeaks activist Julian Assange to the U.S. on grounds of suicide risk.

The judges of this court have concluded that the U.S. government has given sufficient assurances that Assange will receive adequate treatment to protect his mental health and ruled that he can be extradited.

The United States accuses the founder of Wikileaks of 18 charges, including hacking into U.S. military databases.
