Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate, Kari Lake, sent a message Sunday to her opponent in the race, Democrat Katie Hobbs for her position on gender ideology.

Kari Lake said that there are only two genders andthen proceeded to issue a challenge to Hobbs. Lake’s remarks came during a political event as part of her campaign for Governor.

“Katie Hobbs thinks there are 47 different genders. Since we’re here at a rodeo, I’ve got a challenge for you. Katie, go out and try to milk a bull and tell me how that goes,” said Lakey was applauded by event attendees.

Not Kari Lake’s first challenge

Last week, the Republican candidate challenged Hobbs to debate on the platform of her choice, be it a stage, a public parking lot, or a left-leaning media outlet, and even suggested panelists from The View as moderators.

Hobbs has refused to debate Lake on several occasions. After criticism from voters, the Democratic candidate excused herself on CNN saying the Republican “is only interested in creating a spectacle.”

The situation comes at a time when polls show a rise in her electoral race and place her in a technical tie with the Democrat, who months ago had an advantage.

The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com/Suffolk University poll of 500 likely midterm voters showed 46% of respondents would vote for Hobbs versus 45% who would vote for Lake.
