Kari Lake Receives Major News Regarding Potential 2024 Run

Kari Lake, a previous Arizona governor candidate for the Republican party, could be able to win election as a senator representing the region. According to a recent survey, the fiery Republican would defeat the incumbent Independent Senator Kyrsten Sinema as well as the Democrat candidate Ruben Gallego.

“The survey, published on January 11 by Blueprint Polling, envisioned a scenario in which Sinema, a former Democrat turned independent who has held her Senate seat since 2019, faces off against Lake and Gallego, a Democrat who represents the state’s 3rd Congressional District, in the race for reelection. According to Blueprint, Lake polled at 36%, which is far more than his two competitors. Sinema came in third place with 14%, closely trailing Gallego with 32%.

Sen. Sinema has increased her support among Republican and Democratic voters since leaving the Democratic Party last month. According to the poll, Sinema’s best chance of retaining her seat in the Senate “may be for the Republican party to nominate a candidate so flawed that moderate and conservative voters would abandon that person for the Independent Sinema.”

In December, Sinema changed her party allegiance from the Democratic Party to Independent. Her action erodes the already precarious Democratic majority in the upper house. Democrats controlled the U.S. Senate with a 51–50 majority prior to her declaration.

Sinema criticized “partisanship” and its grip on both major parties in a guest post for the Arizona Republic. Sinema, who will be running for re-election in 2024, also declared that even as an indepentend, she would continue to caucus with the Democratic party.
