The Editorial Board is pleased to announce that renowned Venezuelan writer Karl Krispin will join El American as a columnist.

Krispin is a renowned writer born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1960, he graduated from the School of Letters of Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas and received a master’s degree in political science from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The writer has published the following novels: La advertencia del ciudadano Norton (Alfa, 2010), Con la urbe al cuello (Alfaguara 2005, 2006. Sudaquia 2012), Viernes a eso de las nueve (Fuentes Editores,1992); los estudios La revolución Libertadora (Banco de Venezuela,1990), Golpe de Estado Venezuela 1945-1948, (Panapo,1994), los ensayos Bush en Playa Parguito (Pila 21, 2018) Lecturas y deslecturas (Unimet, 2009), Camino de humores (Fundarte,1998); los minicuentos 200 breves (Oscar Todtmann Editores, 2015) Ciento breve (Fundación para la Cultura Urbana, 2004).

Karl Krispin in the most important media

He is also a professor of History at Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas and collaborates with important media in Venezuela. He has also been president of the Humboldt Cultural Association in his country. He is a Member of the Club of Rome and President of the Venezuelan Chapter of the Club of Rome.

He has also been commissioned by Monte Ávila Editores Latinoamericana to edit and review several works by Arturo Uslar Pietri. Among the newspapers in which he has written are Zenda, El Nacional, El Diario de Caracas and El Universal.
