The migration crisis at the southern border of the United States is increasingly worrisome. While authorities are still trying to deal with the 15,000 migrants who crowded under the bridge in Del Rio, Texas this week, new groups of thousands of people from all over the world are on their way to the border.

Today we talk about the causes of this chaos at the border and the Biden Administration’s response with Alfonso Aguilar, president of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles and former head of the U.S. Citizenship Office.

“It is not true that the border is closed, if they have let in more than 12,000 people, the border is not closed. They detain people and then release them in different parts of the country”

Alfonso Aguilar

For the former head of the U.S. Citizenship Office, the message being given to the whole world is that if you come to the southern border, there is a chance to enter the country. He stresses that this message is echoing around the globe, because what you see at the border are migrants from Ghana, the Middle East and even gypsies.

“It is a call with a global echo: this is the opportunity to try to enter the US because the president has not only dismantled the security measures at the border but is also liberalizing the system”

Alfonso Aguilar

In the last 10 days we have seen up to 15,000 Haitians under a bridge in the Del Rio area of Texas. In the winter, President Biden said that the high migratory flow was a seasonal issue and that in the summer the numbers would go down, but that did not happen.

Aguilar assures that what Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says is not true — that what is happening at the border is something regular that has happened in the past. Our interviewee affirms that the numbers of the past have been surpassed and instead of there being a decrease, since January there has been an increase in migration.

“This is more of a chaos than a crisis, we have lost operational control of the border. Secretary Mayorkas is lying to the American people and should resign because he is failing in the line of duty”

Alfonso Aguilar

The president of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles also states that having 15,000 people under a bridge is not “humane or moral.” He recalls that these people have risked their lives in an extremely dangerous journey where even women suffer high rates of sexual harassment. And he takes advantage of the issue to recall that “President Trump’s measures were meant to dissuade people from coming illegally.”

Democrats send the wrong message to the world

Regarding the response of the Democratic Party and the Biden administration, Harris Aguilar believes that there is “cynicism” from sectors in the Democratic Party that what they want is to create a regional migratory crisis to flood the United States and achieve a demographic change in this country.

He assures that it is useless to ask people not to come, if at the same time migrants see that they can enter through the southern border. He also points out that he finds it worrisome that the Democrats no longer talk about border security but about justice.

Left-wing narco-dictatorships seek to destabilize the U.S.

The former head of the U.S. Citizenship Office points out that what happened at the border also has its origin in the interest of the leftist narco-dictatorships in Latin America that seek to create a regional migratory crisis to destabilize the United States. He recalls that in the immigration issue there are coyotes, drug traffickers, governments and dictatorships involved.

He points out that the chaos occurring on the southern border of the United States is an issue that suits Nicolás Maduro and the Cuban regime who want to destabilize the region and create problems for the United States.

“These people did not arrive alone from Brazil or Chile to the border, the narco-states are going to participate in this to destabilize the region. It is irresponsible for the Democratic Party to see this only as a human problem”

Alfonso Aguilar

Finally, Aguilar points out that migration should be allowed, but in a legal manner. He also stresses that what has happened is a national security problem: “Our enemies see a vulnerability in the border and we know, with the fall of Afghanistan, that now there are more possibilities of terrorist attacks. They are going to look for our vulnerabilities, and south of the border there is a vulnerability where elements that do not have the best interests can enter.”
