Republican Senator Marco Rubio demanded last Friday that the Biden administration sanction anyone who supports Russia. Rubio’s request is given on the occasion of the Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory.

Rubio explained his proposal in which he requires that sanctions should include that those who support the Russian regime must receive a ban on visas to the United States and be the subject of an Interpol Red Notice.

Rubio also urged other countries to take similar measures. The Republican’s statements come at a time when the international community is reacting to Russia’s attack against the Ukrainians.

Marco Rubio’s request comes amid escalating violence

Amid escalating violence, NATO reported, as reviewed by El American, that it began deploying elements of its Response Force to the eastern part of the Alliance, for the first time in the context of collective defense, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“there must be no space for miscalculation or misunderstanding. We will do what it takes to protect and defend every Ally. And every inch of NATO territory,” said NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg at the end of a videoconference summit of NATO leaders, urgently convened in the face of Moscow’s aggression against its neighbor.
