Georgia’s congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has posted a good number of tweets calling for retaliative measures against Democrats, based on the fact that Republicans are regaining control of the House on January 3rd.
A few days ago, MTG posted in response to an Adam Schiff tweet, calling for his removal over his support of BLM riots:
“You deserve to be kicked off committees for lying to the American people and supporting BLM violent riots all over America… along w/ many of your colleagues.”
“I’m looking forward to watching @GOPLeader remove you from committees.”
Schiff told a reporter that MTG and other members of congress were removed from their committees because they incited violence against their political opponents (In reference to the January 6th riot).
Reporter Elex Michaelson asked Schiff: “I mean, the Republicans would say that Democrats kicked Marjorie Taylor Greene off of her committees, so why shouldn’t they be able to kick you off of your committees?”
“Well, this is the same false equivalence they often use, which is Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar were removed from their committees because they were inciting violence against fellow members of Congress.”
Schiff Added: “The day I start to incite violence against people that I serve with or elsewhere, then fine, take me off my committee. You know, the moment I start engaging in insurrection, then fine, sanction me, but don’t give me this false equivalence, Mr. McCarthy, and suggest that somehow leading legitimate investigations of Donald Trump’s corruption with Russia, Ukraine, and January 6th is somehow legitimate basis to remove someone from a committee,”

MTG continued to lash out at Schiff calling the congressman a liar because of the Russian collusion case in which he had a major role since 2016, when former President Trump took office.
