TRISTAN SNELL, a commentator for MSNBC and CNN, shared a video showing a Christian crowd praying with their hands raised during a Republican political party event. Instead of pointing out the obvious, the commentator lied by claiming that the gesture was a Nazi salute.

Snell, who is an attorney and a regular contributor to the left-leaning MSNBC and CNN networks, shared a video of a campaign rally for Pennsylvania GOP gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano, in which the politician is clearly seen asking those in attendance to raise their hands to pray together.

In an effort to confuse the audience, the commentator said that the supporters’ raised hands were a Nazi salute.

“Yes, this is a Nazi salute, at a Doug Mastriano campaign event in Pennsylvania. In 2022,” Snell tweeted. “Democracy is literally on the ballot in November.”

In the face of the obvious attempt at deception, many users made the clarification in the comments, even showing images of Democratic crowds raising their hands at Joe Biden campaign events.

CNN is in an internal debacle in both its audience and earnings, which, coupled with the thunderous failure of its streaming platform, CNN+, has forced the network to change the focus of its news presentation.
