The neurosis of the mainstream media is here to stay. In one of its most recent articles, The New York Times decided to compare the assault on the Capitol on January 6th to the World Trade Center attack of September 11, 2001. The Times shares the narrative with other media outlets and even the CIA of comparing the American right wing to Al Qaeda terrorists or Nazis.

What did The New York Times say?

“One officer lost the tip of his right index finger. Others were smashed in the head with baseball bats, flag poles and pipes,” so begins The Times piece, recalling the events of January 6th. In the same vein, they recall that another officer lost consciousness after rioters used a metal barrier to push her into the stairwell as they tried to reach the Capitol steps during the assault.

And then the authors launch their bold commentary by carefully comparing those who carried out the assault on the Capitol to Al-Qaeda terrorists. “The Capitol assault resulted in one of the worst days of injuries for law enforcement in the United States since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.” The Times then proceeded to tally the number of officers affected.

“At least 138 officers,” it said, “73 from the Capitol Police and 65 from the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington were injured, the departments said. They ranged from bruises and lacerations to more serious damage such as concussions, rib fractures, burns and even a mild heart attack.

The count of injured police officers, as real and unfortunate as it is, is used by The New York Times for a highly damaging and manipulative narrative, wanting to antagonize police officers with Trump supporters.

The New York Times seeks to manipulate with this article by the use of a couple of facts it misrepresents.

First, the 9/11 terrorist attack was not one directed at police officers, but at the very existence of the U.S., at all Americans and the values they stand for. Police officers, part of the American nation, were just as affected as those on the planes, those in the Twin Towers, those in the vicinity of the tragedy, and all American citizens.

Second, the assault on the Capitol was not an attack directed at the absolute existence of the U.S., at all Americans and the values they stand for. It was an unfortunate event that did not represent the majority of former President Donald Trump’s supporters, not even due to his own words, unlike Osama Bin-Laden, who called for the destruction of the U.S. countless times.

Such blatant manipulation aligns with the words spoken by MSNBC hosts and guests. At El American, we reported how host Nicole Wallace implied that Donald Trump should be targeted with drones as was done with terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki, as did MSNBC guest Clint Watts.

But are these New York Times gaffes new?

The New York Times loves a sweetened Chinese regime

In El American we exposed how The Times shamelessly wipes the face of China’s Communist Party. In an article titled “In an Upside-Down Pandemic World, China Offers Its Version of Freedom,” The Times writes how China appears to be a country in the pre-pandemic stage, “but ignores, of course, allegations of case concealment, that China lied about the virus outbreak and withheld important information.”

“It [The Times] forgets,” or rather deliberately ignores, “that China exported the virus that stopped the world and, subsequently, the Chinese Communist Party peddled its success in dealing with the pandemic without any backing.” That China’s “version of freedom” is certainly an Orwellian version of freedom which, in reality, is not liberal… and the systematic genocide and rape of the Uyghurs proves it.

And what did this gross misinformation get you? An online campaign where hundreds of users started blocking the media outlet and, in addition, calling for other users to block it for promoting “corporate disinformation online.”

The campaign even went so far as to create a makeshift page called “Block The New York Times” that allows users to block 800 Times reporters for free.

This despicable cleansing of the Chinese regime is nowhere near the absurd lie they are launching against the American public. The Times‘ latest manipulation is not only meant to deceive Americans but to attack the nation’s pain in the face of one of the worst episodes it has ever experienced, in order to criminalize people who think otherwise.
