NFL Anchor: Tom Brady Likely to Come Back Again With Unexpected Team

NFL Network host Rich Eisen was in Indianapolis for the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, and the strangest thing he heard was regarding twice-retired quarterback Tom Brady.

Eisen revealed numerous stories he’d heard while in Indianapolis, but the one that topped his list was that Brady — who has spent the previous several weeks posting Instagram photographs of animals, kids, and even himself naked — would make a surprising switch from retired… to playing for Miami.

Eisen said on his podcast:

“This one just blew my mind: Tom Brady might not be done after all,” (…) “A couple people were just like, ‘Hang on, just you wait.’ And I was like, ‘He’s Instagramming out pictures of his cat.’ But it doesn’t look like he’s getting big and fat, does it? Let it play out. Let’s see who wants what.”

With questions surrounding the health of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Eisen argued that Brady would be a natural choice considering that he was already residing in Florida — although in the Tampa Bay region.

The Dolphins had apparently pursued Brady in the past, but according to reports from January 2023, the organization had backed off.

If Brady returns to the game for the 2023 season, it will be his second try at “un-retiring,” since his first attempt lasted only a few days. And he may not be the only quarterback considering a comeback: Philip Rivers is said to have approached both the 49ers and the Dolphins before to the end of the 2022 season.
