The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), which oversees military counterterrorism and counterinsurgency operations, reassigned the head of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. The move came after he compared former President Donald Trump to Hitler on social media.

A spokesperson for the command said Tuesday that Richard Torres-Estrada was “assigned to other duties pending the results of the investigation,” The Dailly Caller said.

“The commander has directed an investigation to look into the facts surrounding Mr. Torres-Estrada’s selection,” USSOCOM spokesman Ken McGraw told Fox News. He added, “The secretary has spoken to that many times. And we certainly want that work to be transparent, to be credible, to be effective, and of course professional.”

McGraw had told The Daily Caller on Saturday that the command was investigating Torres-Estrada’s Facebook postings, which became public after his new position was announced last week.

On June 2, 2020, Torres-Estrada posted a photo of Trump and Hitler, both holding a copy of the Bible. The photo of Trump was taken a day earlier outside St. John’s Church in Washington, an institution that had been vandalized during protests over the death of George Floyd.
