Republicans in the Pennsylvania Senate plan to draft a bill that would seek to relocate illegal migrants who enter their state on flights arranged by the White House.

According to a memo from PA Senator Mario Scavello, circulated among his colleagues, the intention would be to relocate them to Delaware, President Biden’s home state.

“This legislation is in response to many news reports and many concerned citizens who have reached out to my office regarding the relocation of illegal immigrants into their communities in the past, now and in the future,” Scavello states.

Thousands of illegal migrants, hundreds of flights

The text expresses similar intentions to those of Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, who has also referred to the flights loaded with illegal migrants that have landed in his state.

“The open-border policy of the Presidents Administration has created a health crisis as well as a financial crisis, and states across the nation are being forced to pay for the reckless abandonment of the rule of law,” Scavello says in his text, after highlighting the danger posed by the entry of non-COVID-19 tested immigrants.

The proposed law would prohibit the issuance of state labor contracts with any federal contractor working for the federal government to transport illegal immigrants to Pennsylvania.

Local Senator Doug Mastriano said Thursday he would support the legislation and released a report listing Department of Homeland Security data reporting 938 flights, for a total of 51,750 illegal migrants moved nationwide.
