A man has been charged with killing a police officer in Delaware. Thirty-year-old Randon D. Wilkerson allegedly beat a Delmar Police officer to death. The officer, Keith Heacook, responded to a call for help Sunday morning and went to the scene. Neighbors had called because Wilkerson attacked an elderly couple, a 76-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man.

By the time Officer Heacook arrived on the scene he was startled by Wilkerson, who knocked him to the ground. He then brutally punched and kicked him in the head while he was unconscious.
