Russian President Vladimir Putin today wished “good health” to his American counterpart, Joe Biden, in response to the latter’s statements in which he called him a “killer.”

“As for the statements of my American colleague, we, as he said, know each other personally .What would I answer him? I would say to him, ‘Be in good health.’ I wish him good health,” Putin said in video conference with Crimean representatives, broadcast on state television.

The Kremlin chief immediately added that he was saying this “without irony and not in jest.”

“In the history of every people, every state, there are many harsh, dramatic and bloody events. But when we value other people or other states or other peoples, it is as if we were looking in a mirror. We always see ourselves,” he said.

According to Putin, people always transfer their own essence to others.

“I remember in my childhood, when we argued in the courtyard with each other we used to say: it takes one to know one. And that’s not a coincidence, not just a children’s saying or joke. The psychological meaning here is very deep”, said the president.

In his opinion, the ruling class of the United States launches serious accusations against other countries to solve their internal foreign policy problems.

As for relations with the United States, he insisted that Washington will have to take Russia’s interests into account whether it likes it or not.

“We, even if they think we are like them, we are different. We have another genetic code and another ethical-cultural code. But we know how to defend our interests,” he stressed.

Putin added that Russia will work with the United States, but in the fields that are in its interest and profitable for Moscow.

“And they will have to take it into account. They will have to take it into account despite all attempts to curb our development, despite sanctions and offenses,” he pointed out.
