This Wednesday, Republican senators demanded President Biden to nuclear deal talks with Iran in the wake of Iranian support for Hamas following the attacks that this terrorist group has carried out against Israel. They also asserted that sanctions should not be lifted.

“In light of Hamas’ recent attacks against Israel, the United States should take all necessary steps to hold Tehran accountable and, under no circumstances, provide sanctions relief to Iran,” the Republicans wrote in a letter Thursday.

The group of 44 Republicans is led by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL). The group argued that it is troubling that there are members of the Biden administration negotiating with Iran.

“This is troubling, as members of his administration are currently in Vienna negotiating with Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.”

“The United States should do nothing to enrich Israel’s enemies, such as offering sanctions relief to a regime that seeks to destroy Israel. As a longtime friend of the Jewish state, we also urge you to Support Israel’s right to defend itself against any and all terrorist attacks,” he added.

Republicans such as former President Trump have insisted that the U.S. should support Israel in the wake of Hamas attacks. The Republican also argued in a statement that with Biden in the U.S. presidency the world is more unstable.

“Biden’s weakness and lack of support for Israel is provoking new attacks against our allies,” Trump highlighted.
