A few days before the mid-term elections, Republicans lead the Hispanic vote, according to a latest poll conducted by Quinnipiac University. According to the study, the Republican Party obtained, for the House, the support of 46% of those surveyed, compared to 42% among Democrats.

“Democrats have spent decades taking the Hispanic vote for granted while pushing failed policies on issues ranging from the economy to education, crime and the border,” said Nicole Morales, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee in remarks picked up by the Daily Caller.

Republicans grow and Democrats sink

Last week it became known that Biden’s leadership is not improving in the polls and has affected the popularity of the Democratic Party. A Gallup study showed the president’s approval rating at 40%, down 4 points from August. However, the president is still above the minimum of his term, which was 38 % in July.

The study highlighted that the economic crisis has marked the few months of the Democratic administration. “Biden’s seventh quarter was highlighted by the continued high inflation and high gasoline prices the country was experiencing,” Gallup explained.

Finally, the poll indicated that the Democratic administration’s polls remain negative despite its efforts to change this trend just days before the midterms, which will be held next Tuesday, November 8.
