During the second day of the Student Action Summit (SAS) 2022 conference, organized by Turning Point USA in Tampa Florida, Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) said the “militant radical left” is the greatest threat the country is facing, accusing them of becoming “the enemy from within.”

Scott warned that “the woke left now controls the democratic party, the entire federal government, the news media, academia, big tech, Hollywood, most corporate boardrooms, and now even some of our top military leaders”

The Senator for Florida also said the left is trying to destroy “American history, patriotism, border security, gender, traditional morality, capitalism, fiscal responsibility, opportunity, rugged individualism, Judeo-Christian values, free speech, law enforcement, religious liberties, parental role in schools, and even private ownership of firearms”

Scott also criticized the performance of the Biden administration, saying that “they’ve successfully merged radical leftist policies with gross incompetence.” He finalized his denunciation by saying that “The modern left in America is the modern-day version of book burners. Canceling, silencing, and banning from the internet is the same as book burning.”

Scott also talked about the incoming midterm elections, making a pitch for his proposed 12-point plan for Republicans to follow if they win back control of Congress. The senator said that if Republicans win Congress back this November, they should not “return Washington to business as usual” and must be proactive once they come to power.

Scott highlighted that his plan would call for an end to “racial politics”, a complete end of the economic relations between the U.S and China, strengthening voter security laws, funding the police, and term limits for federal bureaucrats.
