Rogan O’Handley is a lawyer and modern-day freedom fighter. He has managed to become an important influencer among young Republicans and has also been an influencer for conservatives with Latino roots, whom he considers allies in the defense of Republican ideas.

Rogan spoke with Anna Paulina Luna, chief correspondent for El American, about the challenges facing the GOP and conservatives in the United States.

“We love the Hispanic Americans in the Republican Party, they are some of the best conservatives in the country, they work extremely hard for the family,” O’Handley said. “They are compatriots with whom we fight for freedom.”

Likewise, he highlighted that the number of conservative Hispanics was demonstrated in the November 2020 elections with rising support for former President Donald Trump.

“There were so many Hispanics who live here, Cubans, Venezuelans, and Nicaraguans, who supported him,” he explained. “People who survived and fled communism, came here and they’re not going to let it happen again.”

Rogan and conservative ideas

He also explained how he began moving towards conservative ideas. He recalled that he had a career as a lawyer in Hollywood, but decided to stand up for his ideals. In that sense, he highlighted that he is dedicated to speaking about the ideas of freedom because progressives are afraid that citizens will wake up.

Rogan urged people to always defend their ideas, admitting that many people approach him to tell him that he has been an inspiration for them. “This is only the beginning of what Hispanic conservatives will do,” he added.
