TV star Sharon Osbourne came out in support of Kanye West after the rapper’s criticism of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement and asked the organization to return $900,000 donated.

The former host of The Talk show spoke about the controversy between West and BLM, an organization branded by the singer as a “scam” after the rapper himself wore a T-shirt with the text White Lives Matter during a parade of his clothing brand, Yeezy.

“Well, we gave $900,000 to [Black Lives Matter], and I’d like my money back, please,” Sharon Osbourne told a TMZ reporter.

While Osbourne didn’t comment on exactly why she wanted her money back, the former tv host said she didn’t understand the backlash against Kanye West just for using his freedom of speech and taking a stand against BLM.

“I don’t understand why white lives don’t matter. I don’t understand it. It’s not my culture,” she said. “Everybody matters, don’t they?”

In addition, the former tv presenter said that West should not suffer the effects of cancel culture for having a critical opinion regarding Black Lives Matter.

“Don’t go to his social media. Don’t listen to his music,” she said. “Leave the guy alone. Let him do what he does”

Last Tuesday, Kanye West wrote on his Instagram that “Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam now it’s over, you’re welcome,” infuriating the fashion industry, progressive media and various artists who began to criticize the American rapper.
