After a “Drag your kids to pride” event at a Dallas Texas gay bar, Texas representative Bryan Slaton will be presenting legislation he says would ban drag shows “and other inappropriate displays” in the state of Texas.

Counter protestors also showed up to the event, stating that the entire event was morally wrong and should not have allowed for children to attend, especially in the setting of an adult bar, where adults are drinking as the show for children was had.

The event videos show drag queens dancing in sexual displays to receive “tips” from the children in the audience. At one point, videos uploaded by journalist Tayler Hansen on Twitter show children participating in the drag show by playing musical chairs.

This event of course set a moral outrage online, and now by legislators alike. Rep. Slaton states “The events of this past weekend were horrifying and show a disturbing trend in which perverted adults are obsessed with sexualizing young children.”
