This Thursday was marked by a Texas shooting that left one person dead and four others wounded. Police Chief Eric Buske reported that the incident occurred in an industrial area in the town of Bryan.
It was also indicated that the wounded were taken to the hospital and that one of them is a police officer in serious condition. It is presumed that the attacker is an employee of a cabin manufacturing company, where the shooting took place.
Governor Greg Abbot on the Texas shooting
Meanwhile, the governor of the state, Greg Abbott, regretted what happened and assured that the suspect is in custody -although he did not reveal his identity-. He also said that coordination with the police authorities is being maintained.
Likewise, the Republican sent condolences to the victim’s family members and said he continues to pray for the wounded officer’s recovery.
“I have been working with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Rangers as they assist local law enforcement on a swift response to this criminal act. Their efforts led to the arrest of the shooting suspect,” Abbott wrote on Twitter.
