The Idiocy of the Week: Hurricane Ian and Don Lemon’s Climate Change Fundamentalism

La idiotez de la semana:

Leer en Español

Hurricane Ian is wreaking havoc and it is a tragedy, but in its wake it is also uncovering the hypocrisy and incoherence of progressives, who are once again starring in The Idiocy of the Week of El American.

When some fundamentalist televangelist blames hurricanes or earthquakes on, let’s say, the proliferation of sodomy, we all laugh. However, there seems to be no questioning on the dogma of the new apocalyptic pro-green religion of Latter Day Climate Change, which has its own pontiffs like Al Gore, apostles like Leonardo DiCaprio, patron saints like Greta Thunberg, and televangelists like Don Lemon.

The latter, pretended to link Hurricane Ian to Climate Change™ while interviewing the director of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) live.

Jamie Rhome, which is the name of the scientist being interviewed, had the courage to deny Don Lemon, at the risk of being accused of heresy by the Court of the Most Holy Cancellation.

Don Lemon insisted on trying to turn into a political issue in an interview with a scientist who was only intending to give information and advice to the population to minimize the risks of Hurricane Ian.

Don Lemon at the time called “idiots” those who did not get vaccinated by disregarding the advice of Science™, and in this interview he once again demonstrated that for the left only those who adhere to the postulates set by ideology are scientists.

According to Don Lemon, he knew more about climate change and hurricanes than the NOOA director because he “grew up there, and these storms are intensifying, something is causing them to intensify.” Long live the experimental method!

Hurricane Ian and Democrat fundamentalism with Climate Change

Hurricane Ian is uncovering in its wake the hypocrisy and inconsistencies of the Democrats, who almost seem to be glad that it is happening so they can instill more fear and justify their interventionism in the name of the Pachamama.

Progressives are demonstrating their enormous empathy, solidarity, and boundless humanity on Twitter by mocking Florida and wishing Ian to destroy Mar-a-Lago, acting as a cleansing wind on the nest of Republican sinners that The Sunshine State has become.

In the new progressive religion, Climate Change is the quintessential divine punishment, and it works for everything. The original sin is capitalism, but the climate emergency is the divine fury that punishes all behaviors that deviate from the path set by the followers of Marx’s teachings: The Hurricanes? Blame Climate Change. “Unexplained” excess mortality? It must be a climate change thing. Terrorist attacks against Christians in Nigeria? It is an evident consequence of Climate Change‘s traps.

Fortunately, the left has found salvation for those who make an act of contrition and commit to do penance. Eating insects, turning off the heating, buying an electric car, or getting a multi-vaccination are small sacrifices that can be made to appease the vengeful character of the Pachamama.

In fact, in the case of the vaccine, it is as if the first dose were baptism and the second confirmation, while the successive and infinite boosters act as symbols of communion with the Biden administration, which a year ago said “let me be clear: if you are in a state where hurricanes often strike —like Florida or the Gulf Coast or in Texas— a vital part of preparing for hurricane season is to get vaccinated now.”
