Remember when Disney was the synonym for illusion, innocence, and magical fantasy worlds for children? Well, we already noticed that those times were long gone. In a move that earned Disney El American’s Idiocy of the Week, the company, through General President of Entertainment Karey Burke, announced that at least 50% of the company’s characters should represent the LGBT+ community and racial minorities.
What was considered a conspiracy theory is now official: Disney has secret political agenda of promoting gender ideology among the youngest children.
According to Burke, because she is the “mother of one transgender child and one pansexual child,” the company she works for must show “many, many, many LGBTQIA characters” in its films, and at a minimum 50% of the characters should be non-heterosexual and non-white.
The Disney executive’s handling of statistics is very striking. Despite the fact that only 7% of Americans declare themselves non-heterosexual, Karey Burke wants 50% (at least, mind you) of the children’s characters to be homosexual, bisexual, gender fluid, pansexual or transgender. It’s as if she wants to project her own family’s statistical peculiarity onto the rest of the families, messing with the hypersexualization of children
These cases are reminiscent of vegan cats and dogs that, coincidentally, are overrepresented in the families of animal activists. While in nature the percentage of vegetarian puppies and kittens is zero percent—approximately—when they belong to a vegan, the percentage of non-carnivorous pets increases dramatically. It could be a coincidence, although some wrong-thinking would say that the will of their masters has something to do with it.
Disney now wants their movies to represent reality—their reality—but they have no qualms about continuing to tell stories of magic, wizards, fairy godmothers, monsters, and humanized talking animals, as long as they are queer enough. All in order.
Disney is the propaganda arm of the woke ideology.
In an anonymous letter, several Disney employees have denounced the atmosphere of terror and political persecution experienced at the company by those who hold “political and religious views that are not explicitly progressive.”
Disney is taking off its mask and every day makes it clearer that they have become the propaganda arm of leftist ideology, seeking to erode traditional and conservative values, and insidiously trying to impose the counter-values of neo-Marxism woke among the most vulnerable and impressionable. Nor does it seem coincidental that this “coming out of the closet” of Disney coincides with the approval in Republican Florida of the law that prevents teachers from talking about sexuality with young children.
Not wanting to expose children to sexuality in general – not just homosexuality – should be their parents’ decision alone. It is a legitimate decision, and I would venture to say the healthiest one. But, that parents have to be vigilant and battling so that their young children are not hypersexualized at school and in the movies they watch, is a sign of the social decadence we live in.
At least now, thanks to the idiocy announced by Disney, parents who want their children to have an innocent and happy childhood now know where the enemy is… plus, they will save the money it costs to take their children to Disneyland.
