All Eyes on Cuba

Leer en Español

The protests in Cuba over the last few weeks has sent shockwaves across not just the United States but the world. Did no one anticipate that the people of Cuba would eventually rise up to protest communism?

Why did they have their doubts? Well, for starters, Cuba is notorious for making outspoken objectors of the communist government disappear. On a recent episode of my podcast Luna Talks, I was able to sit down with Elisa Slider, the granddaughter of a political prisoner and the cousin of Senator Marco Rubio.

It was not uncommon to hear stories of her grandfather when she was growing up. Even now, although the protests there have become increasingly more silent, among murmur of camps being built for those that object to the communist government, the Cuban demographic here in America is demanding action.

While the Biden administration opens its doors for illegals from Mexico and South America, Cuban’s that may have genuine claims of asylum are turned away. Maybe it’s because the administration realizes that Hispanics from a communist country will never go along with the current “progressive” policies that are being pushed in the Democrat party. Many of which are based in Marxist ideology.

So how do we help our fellow bothers and sisters in Cuba? It starts with taking back the congress and senate in 2022 and then the White House in 2024.
