Former President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he was considering running for president in 2024 with Ron DeSantis as his vice-president. He also applauded the work DeSantis is doing in the state of Florida.
“He’s a friend of mine. I endorsed Ron, and after I endorsed him, he took off like a rocket. He’s done a great job as governor,” the former president said in an interview on Fox News Business.
The former president also talked about the first 100 days of Joe Biden’s administration and the recent John Kerry scandal in which he allegedly revealed intelligence information about Israel to Iran.
“It’s unbelievable because you mention John Kerry and the horrible things he did and was doing for a while,” he mentioned.
Similarly, Trump referred to the raid of Rudy Giuliani’s Manhattan apartment by federal agents. He argued that the lawyer should not have to go through a situation like that: “Rudy Giuliani is a great patriot. He loves this country and they raided his apartment.”
Why with Ron DeSantis?
The Florida governor has had a growth in popularity among Americans. On social networks, many have called for him to be a presidential candidate for 2024. However, the Florida governor said that in his head was only 2022, alluding to his reelection as governor.
DeSantis has also pushed for measures to keep the state open and the economy growing, which has led citizens to applaud his administration. He has also denounced the power and censorship that Big Tech is imposing on conservatives.
