Former President Donald Trump appears to remain the favorite to win the presidential race in 2024. A poll published by The Hill showed that the Republican would beat Joe Biden in the presidential election. He would also be the winner if he faces in the race current Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Forty-six percent of those surveyed said they would vote for Trump over Biden if the 2024 election were held today, compared to 41 percent who said they would support the president. Thirteen percent were unsure or didn’t know,” The Hill said.

The study revealed that the former president’s favorability would increase if the presidential race is against Kamala Harris. According to the data, 49% of respondents would vote for Trump and 39% for Harris.

The former president is also the overwhelming favorite to win the Republican primary. The survey detailed that, for example, FL Governor Ron DeSantis dropped in the polls.

“In a hypothetical eight-way primary, 37 percent of respondents would vote for Trump, while 19 percent would back Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R),” The Hill said.

Trump, the favorite

Other polls had shown former President Trump well-positioned for 2024. Last month another poll was released showing that he would beat not only DeSantis but also former Vice President Mike Pence.

The survey conducted by Morning Consult was made among potential Republican voters and revealed that Trump, the only candidate for the White House who has so far made his electoral intentions official, would be the winner with a support of 48%.

Similarly, 77 % of respondents expressed favorable opinions about the former president and his administration. Likewise, 34% said they had heard positive news about Trump and 33% heard negative information.
