Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard called Friday for the resignation of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot for promoting racism against whites. This after Lightfoot assured the media that only black people would be accredited to ask questions.

Gabbard reacted to the situation and said that this is an unacceptable measure. Likewise, she called on all county leaders, as well as President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, to also demand an end to Lightfoot’s tenure.

“Mayor Lightfoot’s blatant anti-white racism is abhorrent. I call upon President Biden, Kamala Harris, and other leaders of our county—of all races—to join me in calling for Mayor Lightfoot’s resignation,” Gabbard wrote on Twitter.

Why did Tulsi Gabbard say that?

Likewise, the former congresswoman argued that no racism of any kind, including anti-white racism, should be supported. “Our leaders must condemn all racism, including anti-white racism.”

Lori Lightfoot decided that she would only give interviews to journalists “who belong to racial minorities.”

“It’s a shame that in 2021, the City Hall press corps is overwhelmingly White in a city where more than half of the city identifies as Black, Latino, AAPI or Native American,” she explained on Twitter.
