James O’Keefe, founder of Project Veritas, denounced on Monday that Twitter’s censorship of a video about the ongoing crisis at the U.S. border.
“@Twitter is censoring Project Veritas’s new video showing NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN photos inside the Donna, Texas Immigrant Detention Center as “Sensitive Content,” O’Keefe wrote on social media. “Twitter’s censorship of the #BidenBorderCrisis is outrageous.”
The video showed a series of photographs inside a Donna, Texas migrant detention center. It alleged that at least 50 people tested positive for coronavirus at the facility, which holds an average of 3,000 detainees, and claims that “there have been multiple sexual assaults, normal assaults, and medical emergencies on a daily basis.”
On February 12, the social media permanently blocked the account of Project Veritas for alleged privacy violation, a fact that is being appealed by its founder. The group reported at the time that the measure was taken after publishing a video in which a Project Veritas reporter approaches Facebook’s vice president of integrity, Guy Rosen, and asks him about “the system of freezing comments” on publications.
