Entrepreneur Elon Musk confirmed Wednesday that Twitter interfered in the U.S. presidential election. In a response to a Reuters report on Twitter’s move toward free speech under Musk’s stewardship, he responded that the reality is that the company has failed in trust and safety.

“The obvious reality, as long-time users know, is that Twitter has failed in trust & safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections,” Musk posted on Twitter.

Likewise, the businessman pledged to create an impartial platform. “Twitter 2.0 will be far more effective, transparent and even-handed,” he said.

A few days ago, Musk had already claimed that he would publish files on the company. “The Twitter Files on free speech suppression soon to be published on Twitter itself. The public deserves to know what really happened,” he commented.

In past months, a video of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was leaked, where it became clear that Twitter’s mass censorship of conservatives was planned. “This is going to be much bigger than one account, and it’s going to go on for much longer than this day,” Dorsey said in the video, referring to the suspension of former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account.
