“Dear friend, your actions matter.” These are the words to start the three-step campaign launched by the Ukrainian government to raise funds and support its army in the midst of the invasion initiated by Vladimir Putin.

Through its social networks, Zelensky’s administration asked for help to “strengthen Western resolve and protect the security of Ukraine, Europe, and the democratic world.” To do so, it asks citizens to follow three important steps: urging governments to support, donating money, and organizing protests worldwide.

“The leaders and heads of government of their countries expressed their support and condemned the Russian aggression. This is not enough. We need decisive actions to stop the Russian aggression now and prevent further loss of life,” Ukrainian officials say.

Follow minute-by-minute highlights of the Russian invasion in Ukraine here.

“Russia invaded Ukraine. Russian missiles and army target civilian infrastructure and kill innocent people in Ukrainian cities. Russia attacks not only Ukraine; it attacks all of Europe. Ukraine defends its own independence, and peace and democracy in Europe,” the campaign adds.

Step 1

“Call your MP to urge strong economic sanctions: banning Russia from SWIFT, fully isolating it, stopping all business, oil and gas embargo, providing Ukraine with more defensive weapons, ammunition, money,” the Ukrainian government asks.

Step 2

Donate money to support the Ukrainian Army. You can transfer money to the following account: https://savelife.in.ua/en/donate/

Step 3

Organize street protests in your city to support Ukraine and condemn Russian aggression.

“Your actions matter. Your voice can be decisive in strengthening Western resolve and protecting the security of Ukraine, Europe and the entire free and democratic world from a new revengeful force in Europe. Take action now!” the campaign concludes.

As Zelensky’s government pushes the fundraising campaign, it also calls on all men who are willing to join its Armed Force to protect their country’s independence. Videos on social media reveal how thousands of Ukrainians are taking up arms to continue fighting Russia at the cost of their lives.
