Wuhan Lab Leak: The Greatest Cover-Up in Decades?

Dozens of bankrupt economies. Millions dead, not only from the virus, but from poverty, misery, and the collapse of healthcare systems. Families estranged. Sons who could not watch over their deceased mothers; grandmothers who did not know their grandchildren at birth. What will we do if it turns out that behind all this tragedy, which plunged the whole world into an unprecedented crisis for more than a year and is still raging, there is someone responsible?

Very conveniently, the major organizations did their best to conceal what was obvious from the start. The World Health Organization, the main spokesperson of the pandemic but already quite discredited, tried to avoid what the world is now clamoring for: a serious, rigorous investigation into the origins of the coronavirus.

Why? Because everything indicates that there is a culprit. And this culprit, let’s call it the Chinese Communist Party, will have been responsible for one of the most lethal and widespread biological attacks in modern history. We are talking about terrorism pure and simple.

Let’s for the moment ignore the information that has recently been revealed. Already more than a year ago we learned that China persecuted and imprisoned those within the country who dared to try to alert the world about what was happening. Let’s start with China’s failure to report in time the first spasms of what would later become a pandemic. Let’s start with China encouraging and allowing millions of its citizens to travel the world on New Year’s Eve, just as the virus was beginning to break out. Let’s start with China scamming countries with outdated tests. Let’s start with the fact that it manipulated major organizations to pander to its unforgivable blunders at the beginning of the tragedy.

It was clear: China could have stopped the spread of the virus when it was just being reported. Then, enough happened: it turned out that no economy in the world grew except for the Chinese one. That the figures coming out of the Asian country were made up and that nobody really knew what was going on. And in December, when we were all celebrating under the coldest and cruelest distance; and under the most draconian enclosures, China had already overcome the pandemic.

Everything aroused the greatest suspicions. The Chinese communist regime, seasoned in persecuting dissent, silencing criticism and assassinating its political enemies, was lying and lying too much. Then of course, out of justified skepticism, many raised the theory: the coronavirus escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, twenty kilometers from the seafood market where the pandemic supposedly started (according to the communist authorities).

And one of those who dared to denounce it was former President Trump himself. Since it was the hated and demented Trump, of course, it must have been a lie. The progressive and obsessively biased mainstream media branded as conspiratorial, delusional, and even racist any theory that conceived of the Chinese Communist Party’s responsibility for the emergence of the virus.

The New York Times, CNN, and the BBC were some of the media outlets that rushed to wash the Asian regime’s image. They said it was impossible: how could people say that this coronavirus, which causes a terrible illness known as SARS-Cov-2 or Covid-19 or whatever you want to call it, was leaked from the most important virology institute in China where, in fact, specialists have been researching coronaviruses for years and doing all kinds of tests on bats.

They said that it was racist to say that the virus that came out of China had come out of China just as it was not racist to say that there was the British variant, the Indian variant, the Brazilian variant. Just as it was not racist to talk about Ebola, Zika or the Spanish Flu. But now that it did not even occur to us to suggest or even suspect that there was a link between the coronavirus, and the fact that it was first recorded in Wuhan in late 2019.

The media kept the Chinese regime shielded for more than a year, until it was already impossible. Because the truth weighs more and the world, which suffered so much during these months, demands answers. But the turning point was a letter that a group of the world’s most prestigious biologists published in Science magazine. In it, the biologists call for a thorough investigation of the origins of the coronavirus; and they also stress: “We must take hypotheses about both natural and laboratory spillovers seriously until we have sufficient data.”

“A proper investigation should be transparent, objective, data-driven, inclusive of broad expertise, subject to independent oversight, and responsibly managed to minimize the impact of conflicts of interest,” they continue.

In other words, to suggest that the virus could have come from the Wuhan Institute of Virology is as serious and well-founded a hypothesis as suggesting that the virus is a product of nature.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, America’s foremost expert on infectious diseases and a guy with strange political intentions, changed the story: after stubbornly saying that China had nothing to do with the virus, he now claims that he is “not convinced” that the virus originated “naturally”. The Chinese cried foul: Fauci had betrayed them.

All this was followed by a Wall Street Journal exclusive: in November 2019, shortly before the first person with symptoms was reported (linked to the seafood market), some researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology became ill with a condition identical to that produced by the coronavirus.

The newspaper cites an intelligence report from the American authorities and has forced the Biden administration to demand a detailed and rigorous study to determine whether the virus really escaped from a laboratory and the Chinese regime tried to hide it.

This is serious. Very serious. Ultimately, none of us are surprised that China, a sort of historical villain in everything that happens in the world, is the culprit. What is unbelievable is not that the Chinese Communist Party is behind this biological attack. What is unbelievable is that there were accomplices in the heart of our countries, of free and capitalist societies. Accomplices were willing to wash the face of the Chinese communist regime. Accomplices of what could be the worst pandemic in 100 years.

It was the media. Those who whitewashed a tyranny out of hatred for a politician. This is biggest cover-up in recent years. But ultimately, truth is the daughter of time.
