Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today denounced a Russian airstrike on a children’s hospital in Mariupol and called again for the closure of Ukrainian airspace.

“Direct strike of Russian troops at the maternity hospital. People, children are under the wreckage. Atrocity! How much longer will the world be an accomplice ignoring terror? Close the sky right now!” Zelenski wrote on Twitter.

“Stop the killings! You have power but you seem to be losing humanity,” the president of Ukraine adds.

Meanwhile, the head of the regional military administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, has posted a video on Facebook showing the extent of the damage caused by the attack.

“A maternity hospital in the city center, a hospital, a children’s ward and therapy – all this was destroyed during the Russian air raid on Mariupol. The Russian pilot, who probably doesn’t hesitate to call himself a man, has just pulled the trigger again, knowing exactly where the bomb will hit,” he wrote on Facebook.

And he accused Russian forces of having “crossed the line of unacceptable relations between states and peoples,” of having “crossed the line of humanity.” “Stop calling yourself people!,” he added.
