Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky on Tuesday rejected Russia’s message that the invasion of Ukraine is a military operation in which only such infrastructures are hit, as — he warned — children are “dying” in the attacks.
“Yesterday, 16 children were killed and again President Putin is going to say that is some kind of operation and ‘we are hitting a military infrastructure,'” Zelenski told the European Parliament’s plenary.
“We have the desire for our people and children [to be] living. I think that it is a fair desire,” he added.
