The owner of a gym in New York, known as “The Atilis Gym,” reported that he received a one-year probation sentence. The situation was generated after the owner, Ian Smith, kept the establishment open during the lockdown mandates in that state.

Smith posted the information on Twitter and maintained that the gym will remain open “at any cost. We got one year probation for the crime of taking our doors off,” Smith tweeted.

He also explained that he received support from many citizens during the hearing. “Thanks to all who joined in on our sentencing hearing. So many came that the server crashed.”

Smith posted photos this week of the march against pandemic restrictions measures. He maintained that it’s a movement that will continue to grow. “This has gotten to big for them to ignore. Keep going, we are not done yet,” he stressed.

According to The Post Millennial, “Smith was fined $1.2 million for those actions, and vowed to stay open anyway.” The media outlet detailed that the gym owner gave free memberships to people who chose not to get the COVID-19 vaccination.
