Uvalde Mayor Slams Beto as ‘Sick Son of a B*tch’ for Interrupting Press Conference with Grieving Families

Beto O’Rourke interrupted a press conference attended by Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the Uvalde mayor that was meant to address the horrific elementary school shooting that left 21 people dead, including 19 children.

“You are doing nothing,” O’Rourke said, just feet away from Abbott. “You said this was not predictable, this was totally predictable, and you choose not to do anything.”

Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin could be heard yelling, “sir, you are out of line. Please leave this auditorium.” Then he called him a ‘sick son of a b*tch.’ Listen:

“I cannot believe you,” Uvalde’s mayor said. “You’re a sick son of a b*tch, you would come to a deal like this to make it a political issue.”

Then, the audio drops. But McLaughlin made his point.

On Tuesday night, Biden extolled the nation to pass more gun control laws after the Uvalde mass shooting and blamed the gun lobby for the atrocity.

“As a nation we have to ask, when in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby?! When in God’s name will we do what we all know in our gut needs to be done?” Biden said.

The president also lashed out at a purported lack of action to take guns away from law-abiding citizens, while continuing to blast lobbyists for the problem.

“But these mass shootings never happened with the kind of frequency that happened in America?” he also said. “Why? Why are we willing to live with this carnage? Why do we keep letting this happen?”

“Where in God’s name is our backbone?” he went on. “To have the courage to deal with it and stand up to the lobbyists?”

“It’s time to take this pain and turn it into action,” he said.

“I’m sick and tired, we have to act,” he added.

Biden wasn’t alone in immediately politicizing Uvalde before all of the facts were known.

“There is no such thing as being ‘pro-life’ while supporting laws that let children be shot in their schools, elders in grocery stores, worshippers in their houses of faith, survivors by abusers, or anyone in a crowded place,” AOC said. “It is an idolatry of violence. And it must end.”

“14 kids dead in an elementary school in Texas right now. What are we doing? What are we doing? … We have another Sandy Hook on our hands. What are we doing? … What are we doing? … What are we doing?” — Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) said.

“We have to have the courage to take action and understand the nexus between what makes for reasonable and sensible public policy to ensure something like this never happens again,” Vice President Kamala Harris said.

Independent journalist Glenn Greenwald condemned the rush to politicize the tragedy on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Tuesday.

“He could really empathize with in a unique way with how uniquely heinous it is,” Greenwald said.

“And he spent about six seconds doing that and then immediately did a detour to figure out how he could squeeze and exploit this situation for partisan advantage.” He also called Biden’s comments “grotesque” but “unsurprising.”

Rep. Ruben Gallego, a Democrat from Phoenix, was among the most incendiary: “F— you, Ted Cruz – You care about a fetus but you will let our children get slaughtered,” Gallego tweeted, then labeled him a “f—ing baby-killer.”

America can no longer even come together to mourn the deaths of 19 children and 2 other innocent people in a heartbreaking atrocity.

It’s never been more divisive than this — and thanks to radical activists like Beto O’Rourke, it’s only going to get worse.
