Donald Trump won the 2024 straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference’s (CPAC) in Dallas, which solidifies his status as a favorite to win the Republican presidential nomination.
Trump won the CPAC Texas straw poll with 69 percent of the vote, followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with 24 percent of the vote.
Donald Trump actually extended his lead from the last CPAC straw poll conducted in February. The 45th president received 59 percent support from the attendees, compared to DeSantis’ 28 percent.
The former president is slated to address the CPAC audience in Dallas at 5:30 pm. It can be watched in its entirety below:
