Idiocy of the Week: Alyssa Milano’s Boycott of Elon Musk Backfires

Idiotez de la Semana: boicot de Alyssa Milano a Elon Musk sale mal, El American

Leer en Español

Actress and activist – not necessarily in that order – Alyssa Milano stars in El American’s Idiocy of the Week by bragging about boycotting Elon Musk, and Twitter users reacted.

Posting on Twitter “I’m selling my Tesla” is the new “I’m quitting Twitter” for those who, number one, their income allows them to own a Tesla and, number two, their vanity won’t allow them to delete their Twitter account.

Actress Alyssa Milano, better known for giving her name to Star-Lord’s fictional spaceship in Guardians of the Galaxy than for her performances, has wanted to do her bit in the harassment campaign organized by the left against Elon Musk, and all she has done is to make the most resounding fool of herself.

Elon’s purchase of Twitter, and his steps to restore freedom of speech on the social network, has left leftists very nervous, as they have watched in despair how they lose one of their most powerful tools for censorship and information control.

As a result of this nervousness, or her ignorance, or both, Alyssa Milano ended up getting slammed for a tweet that was intended to win her the applause of her most woke followers, and she wound up being mocked by everyone else.

“I gave back my Tesla. I bought the VW ev. I love it. I’m not sure how advertisers can buy space on Twitter. Publicly traded company’s products being pushed in alignment with hate and white supremacy doesn’t seem to be a winning business model,” she tweeted.

What doesn’t seem like a winning model is to say that a Tesla, because it’s made by Elon Musk, is a symbol of white supremacy, and just say that you bought a Volkswagen, a company that was literally founded by the Nazi Party.

By comparing Elon Musk to Hitler, irony has landed on Alyssa Milano like a boomerang.

Alyssa Milano and the progressive celebrity posturing

Alyssa Milano’s posturing is grotesque, and wanting to look good in front of her woke public, she has tried to boycott Musk by attacking his car company. If only she had been less obsessed with brand names and refrained from bragging about the brand of her new car, she would have been spared the embarrassment.

It’s also odd how celebrities obsess over appearances and brands — both to show them off and to appear to be doing something for the world by boycotting them — but almost none have spoken out against Balenciaga and its borderline pedophile photos in its latest campaign.

Every day it gets harder and harder to tell the difference between celebrities’ official Twitter accounts and their parody accounts. Undoubtedly, this tweet by Alyssa Milano has the ingredients of ignorance mixed with arrogance enough to make it look like one of the latter.
