Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke Tuesday about President Joe Biden’s classified documents. He assured that he had no knowledge of this information and maintained that he will cooperate with the investigation.

“Just as you heard from President Biden about a week ago I was surprised to learn that there were any government records taken to the Penn Biden Center,” the secretary explained at a press conference in Washington.

Biden’s classified documents

Since last week, the Biden Administration has been facing a crisis due to the discovery of classified documents after Democrats defended the persecution and raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.

Biden’s case was uncovered when it was revealed that members of his legal team found classified documents in his private office and residence from when he was Barack Obama’s VP (2009-2017), which should have been turned over to the National Archives at the time, as established by law.

On Thursday, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Robert Hur to lead the investigation.
