Kyle Rittenhouse breaks silence about recent lawsuit on Tucker Carlson Tonight

Kyle Rittenhouse is dissatisfied with the lawsuit he is currently facing from Gaige Grosskreutz after the incidents that happened during the 2020 Kenosha riots, and sees his latest legal struggle as another assault on his right to self-defense.

Gaige Grosskreutz was shot in the arm by Rittenhouse during the riots at the moment he tried to approach to the teenager, carrying a gun in his hand while Rittenhouse was down on the floor. He now has filed a lawsuit against Kyle Rittenhouse as well as Wisconsin police and politicians, stating that they “conspired” to allow armed persons to patrol the streets and “meet out justice as they saw proper.”

The case, filed on February 14, asks for “damages for mental anguish, humiliation, loss of enjoyment of life, and other pain and suffering on all claims,” as well as punitive damages.

The news of the lawsuit were “very frustrating” and “upsetting,” according to Rittenhouse.

“This is, honestly, to me, an attack on our Second Amendment rights and our rights to self-defense,” he said on Wednesday night to Tucker Carlson.

Tucker Carlson, the show’s host, argued the lawsuit was an attempt to “destroy people” who stand up to the mob and protect themselves. He inquired as to who was paying the case, but Rittenhouse stated that he was not sure of this detail.

Rittenhouse, now 20, was 17 when he walked to the streets with a Stock S&W M&P Sport II weapon in Kenosha, WI claiming he was there to defend some businesses from damage during the riots that erupted after Jacob Blake was shot & severely injured by a police officer while trying to avoid being arrested.

After fatally shooting Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, and injuring Grosskreutz during a persecution in the middle of Kenosha riots, he was charged with two counts of homicide, one count of attempted homicide, and additional crimes. In November 2021, he was acquitted on all counts to which he alleged self-defense.
