A new Trafalgar Group poll showed that most Hispanics do not agree with giving amnesty to illegal immigrants in the United States.
According to the Trafalgar/States Action Convention survey, at least 6 in 10 likely voters oppose granting amnesty (green cards and, eventually, U.S. citizenship) to illegal aliens, as well as to border crossers who have applied for asylum.
However, according to the data, 14 percent highlighted that they support amnesty for both illegal immigrants and asylum-seeking immigrants who have been released by the Biden Administration.
Hispanics and illegal migrants
The figure is just as decisive when it comes to Hispanic voters, a majority, 55 percent, said they oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants and asylum seekers. Less than three percent agree with amnesty for both groups. Meanwhile, 23 percent would agree with giving the benefit to asylum seekers, while 18 percent said they were unsure.
In the elections of November 3, 2020, Joe Biden obtained 59% of the Hispanic vote, according to the Pew Research Center. However, by November, 46% of that population criticized the Democratic government, mainly because of the immigration issue.

“The immigration disaster at the border tends to impact Hispanics more directly, and the government’s performance on this issue is alienating Latinos,” Henry Olsen, a researcher at the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC), told EFE news agency.
Similarly, a The Economist/YouGov poll showed that only 21% of Hispanics approved of Biden’s handling of immigration.
