AFTER almost a month after the FBI raid on his Florida residence, Donald Trump put on his distinctive blue suit again and returned to the arena. On Saturday, September 3, the former president arrived in Wilkes Barre (Pennsylvania), where he gave a rally in which he left no one out, criticizing the DOJ, voicing hope about the future of the country and, of course, also had words about Joe Biden’s speech.

Trump came out a little after 7:00 p.m., backed by Lee Greenwood’s customary curtain of God Bless the USA, and wandered around the stage generating a buzz among the event attendees. After about a minute, he approached the lectern and roused the crowd with a “thank you all very much and…hello Pennsylvania.”

Trump returned to Pennsylvania and recalled Biden’s “vicious” speech

“Two months from now the people of Pennsylvania are going to fire the radical left democrats and you are going to elect Doug Mastriano as your next governor and you are going to send my friend Oz, he is a great guy, to the U.S. Senate,” the former president began, in support of his candidates for the midterms. Both were present at the event and even took the stage, from where they gave a brief speech in the run-up to November.

Trump was quick to recall Joe Biden’s speech in Pennsylvania last Thursday, where he called MAGA Republicans a danger to democracy.

“As you know this week Joe Biden came to Philadelphia Pennsylvania to give the most vicious hateful and divisive speech ever delivered by an American president vilifying 75 million citizens. As threats to democracy and as enemies of the state,” Trump said.

Of course, he did not miss the striking aesthetic mounted by the Biden team either. “How’d you like the red lighting behind him like the devil?,” Trump joked with his supporters.

Republicans and the MAGA movement are not the ones trying to undermine our democracy, we are the ones trying to save our democracy. The danger to democracy comes from the radical left, not from the right. This November we’re going to stand up to this rising tyranny and we are going to take back our country we’re going to take it back,” the former president said.

Trump on FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago

While he first glossed over the issue somewhat, once he was done with Biden’s speech he jumped right into what happened at his home in early August.

“There could be no more vivid example of the very real threats from American freedom than just a few weeks ago you saw it when we witnessed one of the most shocking abuses of power by any administration in American history the shameful raid and break-in of my home Mar-a-Lago was a travesty of justice that made a mockery of America’s laws traditions and principles. We’re like a third world nation,” said the former head of state.

He further pointed out that the intervening agents “rifled” through his wife Melania’s closet and conducted an “ugly” search of his 16-year-old son Barron’s room.

“They’re trying to silence me, and, more importantly they are trying to silence you. But we will not be silenced right. It was not just my home that was raided last month. It was the hopes and dreams of every citizen who I’ve been fighting for since the moment I came down the golden escalator in 2015, wanting to represent the people,” Trump added to the applause of his supporters.

Hopeful message for the future of the US

Finally, the former tenant of the Oval Office took a moment to look ahead and give a hopeful message for the future.

He assured that “There is no mountain we cannot climb, there is no summit we cannot reach, there is no challenge we cannot meet, there is no victory we cannot have, we will not bend, we will not break, we will not yield, we will never give in, we will never give up, we will never ever ever back down as long as we are confident and united. The tyrants we are fighting do not stand even a chance because we are Americans and Americans kneel to God and God alone.”

“My fellow citizens this incredible journey we are on together has only just begun and it is time to start talking about greatness for our country again, we are one movement, one people, one family, and one glorious American nation,” he ended to a standing ovation.
