Ben Shapiro’s Sarcastic Message on Migrants at Martha’s Vineyard

Leer en Español

Ben Shapiro on Thursday sarcastically referenced Gov. DeSantis’ sending a group of migrants to the island of Martha’s Vineyard, located south of the Cape Cod peninsula in Massachusetts.

“Thoughts and prayers to the people of Martha’s Vineyard, who are under a state of humanitarian crisis thanks to the presence of 50 illegal immigrants,” Shapiro wrote on Twitter.
Shapiro’s comments come after Martha’s Vineyard residents expressed their disapproval of the influx of illegal immigrants because they claim they cannot cope with the situation.

Martha’s Vineyard homeless shelter coordinator Lisa Belcastro said the influx of 50 immigrants to the island, where woke personalities like the Obamas, Beyonce, and others have expensive properties, is a “challenge.”

When a reporter asked Belcastro about her plans to deal with the 50 illegal immigrants, the coordinator said they “don’t have the resources” and that the island already has a “housing crisis.”

“We don’t have the services to take care of 50 immigrants. And we certainly don’t have housing. We’re in a housing crisis as we are on this island. And we don’t, we can’t house everyone here that lives here and work here. We don’t have housing for 50 more people,” the coordinator assured.
