President Joe Biden arrived in Israel today on his first official visit and again made a mistake while reading his speech.

The president said that it was necessary “to keep alive the truth and honor of the Holocaust,” to which he immediately corrected himself and sentenced “horror of the Holocaust.”

After this, Joe Biden participated in an emotional ceremony at Yad Vashem with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid and President Isaac Herzog, as well as authorities of the Holocaust museum in Jerusalem (Yad Vashem.)

Biden arrived wearing a black kippah (Jewish skullcap) and, with a solemn gesture, rekindled the so-called Eternal Flame located in the museum’s Hall of Remembrance.

The ceremony concluded with the intonation of prayer in Hebrew for the six million Jews killed during World War II.

Before leaving, Biden spoke for a few minutes with two Holocaust survivors: Rena Quint, 86, born in Poland, and Giselle Cycowicz, 95, from former Czechoslovakia.
