Britain’s top government ministers will soon call on Prime Minister Boris Johnson to resign, saying it is untenable for him to continue as head of government after a spate of resignations among his team, the BBC reports Wednesday.
The delegation that will speak with Johnson later today includes the ministers for Northern Ireland, Brandon Lewis, and for Wales, Simon Hart, as well as Grant Shapps, who are among his closest allies, according to the public broadcaster.
Johnson learned of his aides’ intentions during an appearance this afternoon before the House of Commons liaison committee and, after a few moments of confusion, he continued to answer questions from MPs.
