Las Vegas Police on Wednesday arrested Robert Telles, a Clark County Democratic Party administrator, for his alleged connection to the murder of investigative journalist Jeff German.

According to the local press, German had published investigations critical of Telles’ work in the Review-Journal shortly before the Democratic politician lost last June’s primary.

Police arrested Telles at his home hours after serving a search warrant at his home and seizing the official’s vehicles.

Jeff German, 69, a four-decade veteran of journalism, was found dead last Saturday outside his Las Vegas home after being stabbed.

The reporter had published that within Telles’ office there were complaints of intimidation and that the politician had a romantic relationship with a subordinate.

Telles, elected in 2018 and whose term expires on December 31, had mocked German’s articles on social networks.
