Ron DeSantis said he supports the candidacy to the School Board of those who defend the rights of parents in schools. The Florida governor held events in Miami-Dade, Sarasota, Volusia and Duval with board candidates to promote his education agenda.

In July, the Republican announced the complete list of 30 endorsements of local school board candidates who support his education agenda. “Florida has led with purpose and conviction that our school system is about education, not indoctrination. Our education agenda is focused on protecting parental rights, curriculum transparency, and keeping classrooms free of woke ideology,” DeSantis said.

He assured that Floridians know which candidates to support in this Tuesday’s election. “Across our state, Floridians are ready for local school boards who promote education, not indoctrination. It was great to be in these counties to share our bold agenda for education ahead of the important election on August 23.”

DeSantis and his campaign have insisted that children and the right of parents to educate their children must be defended. “Governor DeSantis endorsed these candidates because he is committed to student success, parental rights, and curriculum transparency, which all start at the school board level,” explained the governor’s press team.
