Former President Donald Trump gave the closing speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and from there he referred to Hispanics in the United States.

“A very special thanks for the amazing support of so many conservative Hispanic Americans,” Trump said during the speech.

Despite acknowledging that Latinos have reached out to Republicans, he stressed that it would be more direct support for his leadership. “Hispanic people are incredible, and they have really embraced the Republican Party. I say actually they embraced me, not the Republican Party,” he commented in a jocular tone.

The former president also pushed for border control and stressed that it is necessary to have an orderly and safe migration. For this, he considers that an increase in the number of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and more effective immigration policies are necessary.

Finally, the Republican hinted at a possible presidential candidacy for 2024 and highlighted that he won millions more votes in 2020 than in 2016 and that he may have to do it again.
