Dr. Seuss books have been removed from the eBay website. The decision goes hand in hand with Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ move to suspend production and sale of six of his books for alleged racism and insensitive images.

Speaking to the Washington Examiner, Parmita Choudhury, eBay’s Corporate Communications Specialist, explained that they are looking to ensure that the platform is a “safe, trusted and inclusive” environment for the community.

“We are currently reviewing our marketplace to remove these elements. It may take some time to review all existing listings and provide education to affected users. We are also monitoring the newly published list for review,” he said.

Seuss Enterprises announced its decision to stop publishing Dr. Seuss books on Tuesday. The titles affected with the move are: And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, If I Ran the Zoo, McElligot’s Pool, On Beyond Zebra!, Scrambled Eggs Super! and The Cat’s Quizzer.
